This EP is a great example of what the internet does right. With so much focus on 'illegal' downloads and tweets about last nights dinner, people seem to be overlooking how awesome it is that a guy from France and girl from California can put together a sweet sounding EP while never having met (not to mention a guy in Canada - soon to be in England- getting to be a part of releasing it). That seems pretty cool to me.
“I started BC&CP nearly 2 years ago now, my first album was fully instrumental, then I started adding some vocals tracksfor the second one, but that has been kind of hard for me, and not very natural. So I decided to collaborate with a singer to see what it could bring to my music. I first wrote an e-mail to Steph hoping she'll be ok to record some vocal tracks for some of my tunes, and she was really glad I wrote her and instantly accepted the collaboration. We first made a try on an instrumental track I had already released before, "Midnight Summerlude" and Steph recorded some really nice vocals, so that turned me very positive and excited about the other tracks we could record. In the further months I sent her a couple of demos, and she recorded vocals for two new songs. And that was it for the EP!
I've had this EP on the iPhone for awhile now, and I can definitely vouch for its headphone pleasing vibes. It also sounds really great in a rental car with the windows down strolling through the mountains.
