I have a weakness for unpolished art. Perhaps, it is what Ginsberg meant by 'first thought, best thought'. There just seems to be a certain perfectness to something that someone has decided to not try and get perfect. This album has that quality and like Sebastien's other work, yes, there is definitely a bit of a darkness.
